During our recent Thailand trip we did a safari at Kuiburi National Park. Our safari vehicle dropped us off at a couple of different overlooks, one of which had a large number of Elephants grazing below. There were a lot of Cattle Egrets feeding near the elephants. Kuiburi is an elephant conservation success story. There used to be a lot of conflict between elephants and local farmers with the elephants raiding the local orchards. They started raising money to provide other food for the elephants and now the area has it's own ecotourism center where you can hire a local guide and driver for an afternoon safari. There are about 320 Asian Elephants in the park.
