This was an exciting find when we were in Taiwan. Serows are a genus of ungulates which are endemic to Asia, the Taiwan Serow being endemic to Taiwan. Closely related to other goat like animals, the gorals. It was the first time I had seen any species of Serow. We spotted it at night time from a bit farther away and it walked in our direction in the dark, making it possible for me to take this portrait.
