Common Wombat, Cradle Mountain, Tasmania
Canon 80D, 24-70 at 50mm, iso320, 1/500 f/13 Just returned from a great trip to South Australia and Tasmania. The Wombats at Cradle Mountain were feeding during the day, and much less skittish than elsewhere, so after some portraits I switched to the wider lens to include the habitat. Late afternoon the sun finally broke through after a drizzly, gloomy day. These animals were pretty much constantly head down feeding. I chose to leave the one blade of grass in front of the face.
