I captured this adult black bear scavenging for mussels at low tide in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia.

I like the wider view here, it gives us a feel for some of the habitat these bears live and hunt in. This one looks quite at home balancing on the rock face to hunt mussles, even if he is giving you a wary stare!

The environment surrounding the bear reminds me of a fine art abstract painting – just beautiful.
