During our last Patagonia tour we found a Puma right alongside a paved road with a recently killed Guanaco. He proceeded to drag it away from the road.

Great find Octavio. Wish I could come upon a scene like that. Too bad there is a fence and a road in the scene but I would still take it. I have yet to even see a cougar in the wild, let alone get any photos. What are the techs of this image?

Thanks Bob. We did find another one on this trip eating a Guanaco away from any roads or fences.

This one was shot with a D800, Nikon 300mm f/4, 1/800 @ f/4, ISO 1000. It was early in the morning.

Amazing that he doesn't seem bothered to be right by the road!

To be honest she was a little bit. She would disappear for some moments whenever a car approached (which was rare), and she quickly dragged the kill away from it.
