Upon Carol Clarkes' request, here's another version taken a couple minutes later where the color doesn't compete with his head as much. Hard not to see those brilliant Fall New England colors! I actually de-saturated by 10 points in the final image.

D3S, 440mm, ISO 9,000, F6.3 @ 1/250th sec. monopod sitting on Walkstool in full camo

This is very nice, Mark, but personally, I prefer the exposure and color saturation in your original image. To me this seems a little on the bright side when the two are compared. Having said that, this is still a fine image, and the color here does not compete with the head as much! :)

Yeah, I hear you Ron - I didn't spend the time to make this image "print ready" like the first. I should know better, and I just posted this for Carole to show I had others. I'll be more careful next time!  :oops:  I should know by now the fine people of NSN will be watching carefully!  :wink:  I didn't post process this nearly enough.....
