I decided to post one more  image of this 12 year old friend of ours and finish the short series with a picture, taken three years ago when he was still in his prime.
This image doesn't expose all the problems he has with the legs and back.

He had those distinctive scars on his nose even then Karl, and no doubt he was quite a force to be reckoned with back in his prime - probably part of why he has lasted so long!
