Over the years I have seen the rise and fall of a few big dominant male Jaguars in this part of North Pantanal. This is the new boss in town - a big, mean looking Jaguar, here seen swimming in the river.

Octavio, Superb. He certainly has a "do not mess with me" look on his face. The low angle, I think, makes the shot.

He sure does look like he means business! Even mostly submerged you can see just how big he is. Wonderful capture.

Wonderful perspective of this big cat. It's really nice. We were there when Mick Jaguar was "dethroned" by a bigger, younger Jaguar. Now here's another. I wonder what name the guides have given this cat. Beautiful image.

"Fang", due to a wound/cut on one side of its mouth that shows the fang. I started seeying this cat about 2 years ago, but now he is the boss around.
