The lions share

Mother and cub compete for the lions share of a recently brought down buffalo. Note the plethora of moisture seeking lion flies on the adult.
In reducing the cluttered background, I applied a dark vignette and selectively reduce the exposure.

Ruaha Nat Park- Tanzania.

The cub certainly makes this shot, but I'm not quite sure what is happening along the top edge of the lion's outlines. The fur has a rather 'tufty' appearance against the dark background which I find a little odd.

Thanks Carol,

Yes the BG could do with some more fine edge work in PS and will revisit this.
It's very difficult when the fur and BG were exactly the same tone & colour.
