Roosevelt's Elk on the Oregon Coast are getting a little active. In a week or 2 this young bull will be replaced by a much larger bull.

Very cool, Terry. Great atmosphere with the fog. Hope you get an image of the "much larger bull." Can't wait too see it.

Beautiful image and mood with the dreamy effect of the fog.  Is this earlier than normal Terry?  Our Red Deer won't usually begin for another month over here, or are the changing season warmer temperatures affecting the usual timescale..... Just interested to know what you think.  :)

Thank you Carol,
This is pretty typical for the Oregon Coast, Roosevelt's tend to be active earlier than their Rocky Mountain cousins
and others.

Nice work with the fog. Heading to coast this week to chase these guys. I have learned that I need to be there early in the rut before hunting season.
