Polar Bear cub, Svalbard
Canon 7DmkII, 500mm, iso1000, 1/1250 f/14

This little cub and its mama were quite chunky, obviously eating well.  They had a fresh kill and were feasting.  The cub is ear-tagged, mama also had a radio collar.  They were more wary than some of the bears we encountered.  The blue background is the sea which was flat calm at that time.

An excellent "story telling" image, Cindy. As Dave noted, the blood says a lot.

The splash of red alters the dimensions of the image. Beautifully exposed too. Thanks for sharing Cindy.
