This young beauty arrived in my yard one winter. She casually investigated various feeders and then saw a squirrel. She made a clumsy attempt to catch it, and of course missed. This was take as she looked up at the disappeared prey with, I am guessing, some puzzlement.

Hi Cynthia I like the way the tree trunks flank either side of the frame and the way the vixen has to curl her rear towards and against the tree. I'm just wondering if the image was slightly under exposed with the white of the snow throwing the metering? Therefore, based on viewing the larger version I would suggest reducing the black considerably and a fraction less of contrast and in luminance slightly reduce the orange and less so the yellow, you may find a lot more detail begins to appear, just a though.

Unusual pose. Nice with the snow. How fortunate to be in your backyard. Great shot Cynthia. RB

Cindy, impeccable detail in the fur, and what a wonderful pose framed perfectly between the trees. The coat is full and healthy. Beautiful image!

This is just a super shot. Love the framing and the "high key" BG that brings out such great detail. The pose is just icing on the cake.

Super with her framed between the trees, scrunched up against one and stretched to look up in the other. Wonderful detail in that luxurious coat. So pretty!

A not so regularly seen behavior captured and the frame made by the 2 tree stumps make this one special.
