That's pretty cool behavior to capture! Nice soft light and soft background helps to make the subject stand out. Lots of good texture in the muddy hides. I like that you zoomed in on the heads rather than a wide shot for this.

Terrific shot- love how the open jaws make an interesting shape, and mud is over the top. This just really tickles my fancy! Be sure to look at the larger view!

It makes me think of an amusing song by Flanders/Swann..here's the chorus:

"Mud, mud, glorious mud
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood
So follow me, follow / down to the hollow
And there let us wallow in glorious mud" :)
