Shot 3 weeks ago. Me and my friend were shooting Great-horned Owl fledglings. One fledgling got out the nest and landed on the bushes near the the water...maybe 50 ft were this Otters were playing.
I didn't even know the otters were there, I just noticed in the corner of my eye some movements. Got the camera of the tripod and went to investigate and sure enough there were total 4 otters playing at the bank. If the owl would fell in the water it would be a quick snack for the otters. Luckily it didn't and I found next day both chicks and the mommy owl on nearby trees. 1D4m 300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS + 2.0X TC II (600mm f/5.6) 1/320, ISO-800, f/10 handheld.
