Table manners

Dad was giving his son a lesson in table etiquette. In fact this pride male was far more tolerant of junior cutting in than any of the females with cubs.

They were dining out on this buffalo they had killed at sunset the previous night.

I got to know Owen quite well whilst residing in Ruaha's dry season for the last 6 years filming lions and I was most fortunate in playing a small part working with him & the BBC last year in providing images for their respective projects.
