I was walking down the trail on Bonaventure Island in Perce, Quebec, CA when I saw the fox laying down.  I stopped, put my camera bag down, took out my camera body and then the lens and took his photograph.  All the while, the fox just stared at me without any reaction.  I then heard some children coming down the trail and the fox took off like a shot.  Very cool moment.

Nice find, Jake. You handled this well considering the contrast. The dappled light on the fox adds interest, and the eye contact is a plus.

Ron thanks.  You always give me helpful advice and I appreciate it very much.

Love those spontaneous moments- great expression-almost smiling at you-did you get a wink? :). Good exposure in the bright light/dark shadows.
