While in Costa Rica we primarily did bird photography.  However, one afternoon a group of Coatimundi paid us a visit.  They ran around the grounds of the lodge and generally acted like little kids.  Since this was a larger group they were made up of females and young as the males are solitary. Kind of weird animals but fun.

I think they're fascinating to watch Ed, always on the go and in to everything in their search for food. Not easy to get one to pause for a photo! It looks like you made the best of the harsh light to get nice detail in the face and fur.

I like the pose with the tail and one foot up - implying motion. As Carol noted, you achieved good detail too.

Thanks Carol and Ron. Yes, the light was pretty harsh. As you are most likely aware we can't control when the critters decide to show up. I took advantage of the situation the best I could. I can look it up, but I think I used about +0.75 or + 1 EV and toned down the highlights in post.
