Hi Terry, I like the light and placement of the subject here and head angle, albeit in shade. I'm undecided about the grass 'fringing' highlights in the FG, but I think it does provide the 'layering depth' required and just enough for the virtual legs. Personally I might boost the greens in the woodland trees. Although, again in shade, I feel it might add a tad more richness to the scene?

Beautiful frosty scene and early spotlight on your subject Terry. The light behind the background trees gives a lovely depth to the image and the elk is well placed in your composition. A subtle beauty of a shot!

Beautiful side lighting on the elk and its antlers. Nicely done, Terry.
