This is a "semi captive" Jaguar. It lives in captivity but is often taken outside to explore the cerrado ecossystem on its own, as in this picture. It's a cat that belongs to a conservation ngo in Central Brazil, its mother was killed by poachers and the baby was delivered to be raised there.

I love this, but the angle of view makes the light too bright in my eyes to appreciate the image content as a whole.    If the sun was just a little bit lower down behind the jaguar,  it would be perfect for my taste Octavio and give really nice rim lighting behind your subject.  Just my two cents worth.  :)

I love the rimlight on the jaguar and the glow in the grasses. When viewed against the dark background this really pops. I appreciate the different point of view!

This is an incredible shot. I love the wide angle, backlight, and golden glow. Great detail.

Also thank you for the truthful captioning.

Oh I absolutely love this. One of my favorite Jaguar photos I've ever seen!
