Canon 7DII, EF 70-200 f/8.0 IS II, 1/60 f/8.0, ISO 100 The morning sun was coming up and the storm had broke. The herd of elk were out feeding right under the peaks. I had gone back many times in ten years hoping to get this shoot with the fresh snow, sunrise, and the peak in view. It all come together that morning.

Nice capture of the elk in this fine habitat, and congratulations on accomplishing your ten year goal. You were in an awesome location with this scenery, snow, and elk herd. But you encountered some difficult lighting. I might brighten the snow behind the elk just a bit to balance out the exposure. Also, there appears to be a blue cast in the upper mountain peaks. I would love to have a photographic opportunity like this. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding scene though the light is difficult.

What a setting! It would have been super to have one big bull nicely isolated under those mountains, but we can't have it all can we?
Ron brought up some good points on the colours.
