We photographed this Tayra (a large weasel) on our Atlantic Rainforest extension in Brazil.  This guy visited the banana feeders some days.  Unfortunately he had recently had an encounter with a porcupine as you can see spines sticking out of his head.

Hello Nate,... Really like the raised foot and focused intense look here ! My first time seeing this guy! Colouring from head to tail and back look interesting, would like to see a profile showing off his unique colouring!

What with spines in his face and a broken lower canine tooth (or is it under the tongue) he must be in some discomfort to say the least, poor thing. I like the pose and perspective in this one Nate, nicely done!

Thanks Carol, looking at the other images he does have 2 healthy canines, it is under the tongue in this shot.
