Distant Bull

Yellowstone NP
7D, 500/F4+1.4, F5.6, 1/320, ISO 800, tripod.  This bull had just herded his cows over the ridge and paused to listen to a nearby bull bugle.  Thanks for any comments, or suggestions, Dave

Lovely habitat illustration Dave, I might try a slight boost in contrast on this one but I do like it as presented too.

I like the illusion of depth created by the layers of vegetation. Not too sure how I feel about the bull being entered in the composition, personal preference of course. I like Carol's suggestion re a contrast boost, although I can understand that if it was misty you might be hesitant to do that.

Striking pose!  You can almost hear that bugle.  I might be tempted to crop in a little closer on the left and place the bull off center to showcase that wonderful pose!  Well done!

Nice hazy light for this shot. I like the habitat you left surrounding the elk. I'm getting a bit of a magenta feel on my monitor but its an old laptop so not sure if its real??
