There are truly some great Bighorn Rams around the country, this is the best one I have ever seen in Yellowstone NP. This one and a slightly smaller one were hanging around waiting to have their pictures taken.

Nice shot Terry. That straight on stare framed by the horns is great.
I met those two Rams last week. Amazing close up opportunity.

Thank you very much. We caught them on our final morning headed out of the Park.
Glad you got to work them.

Really rare to see the curl, usually the tips have been broomed.

This is one of nicest set of head gear I have seen on a Bighorn Ram! Like the in your face composition! I also think the nice grasses add to the environment of this image!

Oh, very nice! Gotta love the exquisite curl on this fellow. The sea of yellow grass is a really nice setting for him too.

Love the head on perspective. The setting is nice in that it compliments the ram without distacting. I also was able to photograph these two rams as well as one on Sylvan Pass.

Great horns on this one Terry, and remarkably intact at the tips too! Nicely done.

I really like the way that the shadow on his chest causes his face to stand out.....very fortuitous lighting and angle!
Yellowstone is known for small rams that never get very big horns - this guy is quite an exception.  What a great find!
