Hiked a long ways to get to this huge full curl Dall Sheep.  He was in some treacherous territory, but a great scene to photograph him in.

Wonderful subject in environment image. I think it was an excellent decision to stop down and render the distant hills in focus.

Wow..... what a frame. The steep mountainside with the vast background and the relaxed position of the sheep makes this a lovely image.

Yikes that really does look treacherous. The framing totally conveys that sense. Great looking sheep in such a relaxed pose. Very well done.

The hike was worth it. Outstanding sheep in habitat image. Nicely composed and F13 was a good choice here.

This is a tremendous environmental portrait, Shawn! It just doesn't get any better than this, when it comes to showcasing the habitat along with the subject.

I notice you used the new Canon 100-400mm for this photo.......what focal length did you have it zoomed in to for this image?

Great question!  I was at 100mm (effective 166mm with 7D2 crop factor).  I suspect if I could get it wider I would have.
