We had dark overcast and rain for most of our time with the jaguars, thankful for better performance at high iso these days.  This was the first one we saw and followed as she hunted along the river bank.

Wonderful shot. I like the way the greenery frames the cat.

Thanks for sharing.

Get a great feel for the environment. Todays equipment helps us bring home shots not possible
in years past.

This is one of my favourite Jaguar images ever posted here Cindy.  She is totally focused on her hunt and we are privileged to have this peep into her day.  I like that she isn't looking at the camera, your perspective as she approaches, and the beautiful framing of the vegetation.

Do I like the shot - No.  I LOVE it!!  Well Done.  8)

Love the circular vegetation framing this beautiful cat here Cindy, did you manage to garner his attention?

In this particular setting, I didn't catch anything with her looking at us.  Looking at my jaguar images in general, very few where they were looking at the funny creatures in the boats, and when hunting the attention was almost always elsewhere.

Hi Cindy, a lovely image but am not sure about the crop. I wonder if a vertical portrait might work better?
Regards,

Des

Wonderful green frame. I love the way it is walking right into the frame.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I actually did try that but found that I lost the feeling of the cat coming out of a "tunnel" of foliage, which was one of the things I really liked about this particular setting.  I could probably take a bit more off the left to get rid of the very out of focus leaves at the edge.
