Fossa is Madagascar's largest mammalian predator. It is an avid climber that is more than capable of hunting down a Lemur.

D810, 250mm, f6.3, 1/1250th sec., ISO800, full-frame.

This is an outstanding image.. the angle of the body, implied motion and expression on the animal all contribute to making an amazing picture.

What an interesting animal this is, have never heard of it before. Your perspective gives a pleasing, simple background and the diagonal line of the animal gives even more of a sense of movement. Well done.

I have the greatest respect and fascination for all the mongoose family, and especially for this iconic creature Des! I love your perspective in this superb shot - exquisite head detail and it gives the impression its coming right out of the image. Well done!

Certainly every bit of the predator look, from the face to the paws. What an unusual looking animal.
Great shot, thanks for posting.
