Monster Muley Buck in CO

Had a great time shooting the largest mule deer buck I've ever seen, near Cortez, Colorado two days ago.  8x7 when you can see all the points, and the eye guards are split.

Nikon D4s Body, Nikon 500 f4 SWM D Lens, iso 800, f5.6 at 1/800 , Indura tripod.

He sure is a big boy. I'd prefer a bit more room for him, very tight on both sides, and the background is unfortunately really competing with him.

The light and the background seem to have been difficult to work with, but my, what a great buck!
Were you able to spend a lot of time with him, or did he just present a quick opportunity and then make his way off?
