Tule Elk

The Tule Elk is one of 3 subspecies of Elk found in the U.S. (The Rocky Mountain Elk & the Roosevelt Elk are the other 2) It is found in California's San Joaquin Valley.

Clicking on the image to bring in the dark surround really makes this one pop. Nice detail of this good looking bull, he has great conformation and a regal air about him and the dried grasses provide a complementary setting to show him off. Nicely done.
