Leaving the space behind the tree on the right of frame gives the feeling of depth to the scene, and it would also work with cropping that out and just concentrating on the V of the tree which frames the monkey beautifully whichever crop you choose.  Its good to have alternatives.

The little monkey is so perfectly positioned between the V and I could drown in those amazing eyes!  Love this one Jeff.  8)

The whole scene with the hole in the tree and the monkey peeping out with those "oh my god" eyes makes this a very special image for me. Brilliant.

Oh my those eyes, they are so captivating and just draw you right in. Agree with Carol's comments on the composition as well.

I think those eyes are so sweet that no matter what they do I will always forgive them, hahahaha.
