This yearling was with its mother eating apples. He was quite curious.

You definitely caught his curiosity. I can see that there were probably bushes in front of his legs, but with so much space above the head this composition feels "unbalanced" to me. I think it could've been ok with a bit more of a base below, even if it's brushy, and a bit less above the head. I do like the detail you got in the fur, the expression, and the clear view of the head.

Very nice capture Mitchell. For me this is one of those in between crops. I would either go looser and have more room around it or if the image will hold up crop in tight to just the head and shoulders by taking some off the left and bottom, I think this would work nicely with those flowers right behind its head.

I agree with Nate Mitchell. If it were mine I would crop tight around the head & chest and tilt slightly to the left.
