This was an exciting moment from our recent Pantanal, Brazil trip.  This male Jaguar rushed a Jacare Caiman which was lounging in the water in front of him.  The caiman made a quick get away and created a large splash.  Caimans are the number one prey item in the Jaguar's diet in the Pantanal.

Beautifully timed Nate. The huge splash does tell the story very well as well as the intent look in the cat's eye.

Your best jaguar image yet.  Love the motion and intensity.

Love the framing and action here Nate, it's been 23 years since I first visited the Pantanal and a revisit is in on my short list.

He certainly has his eyes on the prize Nate! A great perspective to get him coming head on towards you and fine timing to capture the caiman's departing water splash. Well done!

Awesome photo Nate, you really nailed the focus on the jaguar in a dynamic pose. I like the composition here as well.
