I encountered this wolf last spring during a snowstorm. Detail is affected (obviously) by the falling flakes but I like the mood created by the white-out conditions. The eyes are sharp when viewed larger. Around here it seems that wolves tend to appear during or after a heavy snowfall. Converted this to black/white in LR CC with Nik Plugin but honestly there was virtually no color anyway. Photographed with D700, 200-400VR @ 310, f6.3, 1/2500, 500 iso ( didn't need that kind of shutter speed but the wolf was moving seconds earlier and I was in a hurry as well).
