We now have a new National Monument called Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument in my backyard near and bordering Baxter State Park in Maine. It encompasses over 87,000 acres. In the past few years I have had the privilege to photograph on these lands, and here is one of the Moose I was fortunate to capture in the camera. Six months after taking this photo I was lucky enough to find his right side shed antler in perfect condition shown in this image!

fantastic looking Bull Mark.  love the extra details, including the leaves stuck on the antlers.  The soft light suits this .

Forgot to add my congrats on the significance of the change of status.  hopefully, a real move forward.

Mark, Really nice detail. It must be nice to be able to walk around the park with such subjects to photograph.

Wonderful colours coming through in this image. Great to hear such a beautiful looking place has been provided with protection for the years to come.

Way to go Mark. I know this has been a long process and you and Anita have certainly played a big part in this coming together. Congrats!
