This pair of harbor seals was photographed from a kayak with the Nikon D500 &  200-500VR at 500mm. I purchased the lens to allow for handheld work from a kayak or canoe and have been pleasantly surprised by it performance throughout its range.

Nice one Bruce. The title fits well. They look like very playful creatures. Good to hear that your lens is working better than expected :). Not sure I'd be game to take my gear out on the water like that, but I'm sure it's fine if you know what you're doing.

An interesting image, glad you like the D500 and it appears to be a good fit with the 200-500.

A lovely study of this pair and their alternate view of our crazy topsy-turvy world Bruce!

Yin and Yang! I like the balance in the composition, and the soft even light. Well done.
