That exactly is his scientific name - Bos Gaurus or Indian Bison. It is the largest surviving bovine species in the world. They are common prey for the tiger but the largest tiger will think twice before attacking a male of this size. Image captured in Tadoba Tiger Reserve, India.

Such smart looking animals with their four white socks. I have only seen captive ones so its nice to see one it its natural habitat Pralay.
