Rattlesnake Sunset

A rattlesnake was crossing the road on a late afternoon at the ranch.  When I approached it, it coiled up and gave me some mean looks!!!  :)  After a while it calmed down and let me get in close so I could get some nice close-ups with a wide angle lens.

So nice. Great DOF and detail by using the landscape lens. I like the sunset in the background, but an alternate composition omitting it and going with a squarish crop would also be quite good. To close for me!
