This sweet and curious little Red Fox stopped by near Nome when we were photographing a Bluethroat, and I couldn't resist a few photographs!  Here I tried to get tight to eliminate the road, but ended up cropping 8x10 vertical anyway.  Canon EOS 1D IV, EF 500/4, EF 1.4 II, Gitzo, RRS. Sidekick.  F/10, 1/1000, ISO 1000.

what pretty and interesting color this fox has, a "strawberry blonde" I guess! The 8x10 crop works well for the subject. Lovely soft light is so pleasing and gives good detail throughout.
