Caught him on a short nature call break during nectaring session  on coral flowers.

Canon 7DII+700mm,f 7.1,1/400s,ISO 640.

Well, honestly I would prefer the shot a few seconds before or after this, but that said, the setting is simple and effective, light is nice and soft, and the little shrew is kinda cute! A subject we don't see very often.

Awesome mammal and great moment, this is something many wildlife photography magazines and companies are looking for now, the moments that shows their behavior and things that normally we don't get to see, Thanks for sharing it!!!

Perfect timing - and just as well you had good focal length to avoid standing too near, or getting caught under this behaviour Debapratim. A great illustration of the need to be aware of wild creatures and their various methods of expression!

Nice to see a great shot of a mammal we never see here in USA. I usually like behavior shots but I don't know if this behavior is one I need to see very often, funny though it is. Love the clear background and nice perch.

Thank you very much Cindy....but being a Teacher of Zoology honestly I feel this urinating behaviour( even mammals mark their territory through urination) is very natural like so many copulation photography of wild lives.
