Immlortalized by Rudyard Kipling in his story Rikki Tikki Tavi, this Common Grey Mongoose mother in Bharatpur, India looks at me and then past me with their customary inquisitiveness. Her babies were already safely across the forest path and were foraging in the bushes.

Such industrious and brave little creatures and you have caught this female in a lovely alert pose and very striking light Pralay. A shame the tip of the tail is clipped but that is my only nit in this fine image.

Lovely capture -- I agree with Carol about the clipped tail.

Very nice work here. This is not a species that gets photographed often, so it is a treat to see something very different.
As a small suggestion, you might try lifting the shadow across the right eye just a tad, as it looks like you have plenty of detail and light that you can still extract.

The pose shows off that bushy tail well! I really like the way the light plays in this one, creating the diagonal line across the body.
