A Giraffe wanders through the bush seeking new shoots after a fire had swept through, you can still see the charred wood, but nature tries to regenerate.

Okavango Delta, Botswana.

I know this was taken with an old EOS camera and Fuji Velvia film but techs are a distant memory!

There is always an opportunity for nature if we let it recover, love the shot and the story. Always amazed that Giraffe has the same number of cervicales as we do (7), a bird like a toucan 17 cervicales... Have a great weekend Carol!

1/250 F8 Carol....   just kidding... used the sunny 16 rule and input 50 instead of 100 ISO and then looked at the dof... factoring in the sun angle, ambient temperature I came up with the first number that came into my head...lol

thanks for sharing this. so much to enjoy... Giraffes are such interesting and wonderful creatures..
