Canon D30 100-400 IS @ 180mm F5.6 1/90 ISO 200 full frame

I don't know how many times I've browsed through my Jasper images fom last year, but I never noticed this one until today.
The snow is a bit blown, I could do a dual convert from RAW, and fix it...

I wouldn't have noticed the snow being blown if you hadn't mentioned it since the image is very strong and the snow doesn't pull you away from Mrs. Bullwinkkle. I like it a lot!

Nice cow moose image. I also did not notice the blown snow until mentioned.

I like the nicely placed tuft of grass in the foreground. Of course the moose aint bad either.

The excellent detail in the hair is worth the loss of detail in the snow. Nicely framed and I like the pose.

Based on your caption and the photo, I'd say this is a first year calf. They quickly lose any "cuteness" as they age!

Well done. I like the comp and you kept great detail in the fur. The snow is not significant enough in the image for me to be bothered if it is a little blown out.

I like the texture and detail in the fur and the diagonal element of the grasses in the bg. Very nice portrait.

Cow's detail and pose are great and the tuft of grass is a nice addition. If the blown snow is the cost of the great detail in the moose, it's a price well paid. (I also wouldn't have noticed.)
