I don't think I've posted anything yet for this week's motif. This one is different if nothing else. These 2 young cheeta's were on the move here and there was really no way to shoot them both. I waited until they were both in the frame and just focused on the close one. Pretty harsh light.

Nikon F100, 500mm f4P, I think this was on sensia and have forgotten the exposure. Masai Mara, Kenya.

Me, and my shadow...
I remember these guys! Effective way to work with the twin subjects.

I like shots like this where one is mirrored by another further back. Cool shot and perfect timing Steve. Thanks for your post.

I like that somewhat of a "mirror image" look that this one has.

Boy does he ever standout against the grass. This may be bright conditions but, I think it shows your craftsmanship well.

Hey Steve,

this is one of those images that I can either look at, or sit here and look for needless nits .. IMO, any possible negative element of this shot is outweighed by the sheer strength of the way you captured the closer cheetah. Your image conveys everything I imagine when I think of a cheetah .. a beautiful shot of a predator!

Cheers

Carl

Excellent - I love how the two are in the same body position.

Great symmerty between the two. The out of focus works well in this situation, but I would rather have both in focus.

Nicely done despite the harsh light and distance between the two. They look far enough apart that you weren't going to get them both in focus. The one in the back looks like a mirror of the front and the composition makes that work well.
