We waited for quite a while for this lady to come down out of her tree perch. When she did she walked down the road and checked us all out. It was quite a thrill to see her up REALLY close. The pose seems a little awkward to me but I like the detail of her face. The reddish bg is the dirt road- the earth is quite reddish in the Samburu area.
Canon EOS 3, 70-200 f2.8 (?), sensia, out of the window of the land rover. Cropped some bottom and right.

Very nice detail in the face. The selective focus works well here. This was worth the wait.

I can never get enough big cat shots Cindy, always good to see and this one is a lovely capture of this lady close up.

Lovely expression and DOF works fine for me on this shot.

Ah yes. Our Samburu leopard. Very nice portrait that really emphasizes her expression.

Excellent - what a beautiful cat. I think cropping just above the legs is even better.

Cindy, wow, great cats this week. I really like the portrait. I was going to suggest the same thing EJ did, just crop up to just where the legs start at the base of the chest.. I scrolled up and down on the screen to see this and I think it is better without the legs chopped but very nice as is.. Good going and thanks for another fine contribution..

Nice image. I'd also crop just above the legs for a bit better balance.

Lotta fine leopards here and this one is no exception. The look - including the fly in the eye - is very nice. While it may be level and the leopard just looks at an angle, I would be tempted to rotate it a couple of degrees.
