This is an image I took last year in South Africa-we saw many leopards and photographed them from open vehicles. The bright spots in the background seem distracting to me--any comments appreciated Thanks Joan

I love this. A terrific, intimate portrait and a great take on the typical "leopard in a tree" shot. The bright spots don't bother me as much as they might some people, I think it's a part of the scene.

Nice leopard. The cat is so captivating that I hardly notice the bright spots, besides there is sky behind trees isn't there.
Nicely made image.

Thanks for posting in the FFM forum. This is one terrific shot. We all wish for those perfect backgrounds but as others have commented, it makes sense when looking into a tree to see sky between the leaves. Its nature photography ....We get into this alot up here when we photograph the black bear cubs. It comes with the territory. I might, however, be tempted to clone in some leaves in the upper left corner just because it is a rather large open area that catches my eye. I would love to have a leopard picture half this good. The eyes are wonderful. Thanks again for your contribution here.. Keep 'em coming...

I have to agree with the others that the eyes are magic. The bright spots are a minor distraction to me but I love the leopard.

Love that peek-a-book look through the branches. Also like Dennis's suggestion on cloning a leaf just for the upper left. Is this one a cub rather than a fully grown leopard?
