Hi gang :D

Though I'd choose this lady as my first post here.

Carol and I had been out with the tracking team every day for a week without finding any lions. We came across a pride on the 7th day, around midday, sitting in the shade of a tree. Had to use flash to get any kind of detail.

Comments welcome and thanks for looking.

Nicely seen "old lady" judging by the scars. Use of flash is very effective here, looks very natural. Might be tempted to darken the top background just a tad.

Nicely done. I agree with toning down the top.

I had a house cat like this once. Old, observant, interested, disdainful. Those personality impressions all come through to me in this neat shot!

Thank you all for your comments, very much appreciated. As I recall, she was about five years old, but had recently been in a fight. The scar under her right eye is very sore on the full size shot. :(
