This is more a fun shot that kind of shows the enviroment that we are in and our daily mode of transportation that we use (the ATV)

Over the past month the Caribou have been moving westward to thier late summer herding grounds before heading north and inland. On this week end we saw small groups of 10-25 moving along. They are pretty shaggy looking at this time of year. The ride out to this area is about three hours over a very bumpy trail.

Thanks for looking comments and suggestions always welcome.

Hi, guys! Welcome to NatureScapes.Net! :D

Yup, I recall you mentioning the ATVs as an important mode of transportation. Having it in the image gives some perspective on the size of the animals.

A nice little peek into your world!

Doug and Karen! I am in awe of this locale and some of the other images at your site. When I shoot the 500 in light this bright, I will use a circular polarizer and that tends to tame the harshness. Otherwise, I will underexpose by a full stop and bring up the detail in the digital darkroom. Sometimes, both of those techniques are employed at the same time.
