This cutie was in my back yard this spring. The sun came out just before I took this one.

Ring the bell we have another winner.. Jim I am a sucker for tight in shots of wildlife and this is really precious... The composition is tight but all the elements play an active roll, cute, the log, blue eyes and even the little spots included on the left. This is another example, like Fero's fox picture earlier in the week, where the grass in front of the face adds to the overall effect. There are many elements in this composition and that can be tricky, but you brought them all together for a successful image IMHO. Thanks for positing this here...this forum rocks..

I think Dennis said it perfectly. Great shot. I love that blue eye.

WOW. This is really sweet. I had no idea that fawns had blue eyes when they are young. I too love tight, intimate shots, especially of young animals. and I agree with Dennis that the grass in front of the face adds to this shot, making the fawn appear to be hiding. Thanks for posting in FFM.

What a back yard! Blue eye is wonderful and love the way the fawn appears to be trying to hide behind the log. Even the grass adds; just wish that one twig in front of the eye wasn't there.
