Lynx kitten - 3 months old
Wild Eyes Game Farm

This was taken on a photo workshop in 1995. As I am not currently shooting anything to post in this forum, I am trying to post a variety of older images. I am enjoying using the motif suggestion as a starting point for what I will post. i hope you are enjoying the variety. Tomorrow I will post something besides a cat.

Nikon N90s with 300 f/4, Sensia 100, late afternoon light and not a lot of DOF. we needed the speed in general as the kitten was running all over. i was fortunate when he paused here, in reaction to some movement and I was able to get a portrait that I was very happy with.

Cheryl,
I always look forward to seeing your shots as they're stunning, this one is no exception. The techs are spot on, but it's those eyes that get me, so inquisitive. Excellent.

I really like how the use of DOF keeps the face in sharp focus and everything else just fades away. Nice job.

This is super Cheryl. Background is wonderful and perfect light for the little kitten. Selective DOF, as noted above, keeps the overall mood soft, making for a very successful image. Well done..

Outstanding! Extremely cute subject in a great pose. Love it. Looks like a little more USM would make it pop even more.

Very cute and I too like the selective DOF in this shot. The eyes are sharp and is most of the face and the soft background is perfect for this image. Lovely!
