Leapord, Samburu National Reserve, Kenya, Africa

Another image from Samburu and one of my favorites from the trip. I owe this one to my A&K driver, Alex, for getting us in the right spot to have this awesome creature stroll right toward us!

Thanks for coming over to FFM and posting. I love your African images. This one is no exception. Gorgeous animal, perfectly exposed and very sharp. Very few people probably have wild leopard pictures to boast about, especially ones like this. Its difficult to find anything to nitpick about here. I hate to even bring it up, but if I had every wish I would wish for the leopard looking towards you rather then across the frame. I think it would just make the image stronger, giving a connection between viewer and subject. And I wish the tail did not intersect with the ear. Digital shutter delay probably did that... But those are very minor concerns. Thanks again for posting here...

Greg,

Thanks for sharing this beautiful animal with us.I love the colors of the grass and the cat, but the eyes have it. I really like the comp, looking up and to the right-into the frame. My only nit would be the tail intersecting the ear, but that is minor when the inage is as strong as this one.

I have this one hanging on one of my walls in my house :) So it goes without saying that I love it.

Beautiful shot of a beautiful Leopard Greg! My only nit is the tail behind the ear as already mentioned, but to get a Leopard so clearly is the stuff most just dream about!! so well done!

Stunning shot Greg.

I'll take any picture of a leopard as I never seem to be in the right place at the right time to get one :(

Very nice Greg. The eyes and sense of motion from the raised paw make this image for me.

I love it! The colors and sharpness are wonderful and the cat is a beautiful animal. The fact that E.J. has this hanging on his own wall speaks volumes.

Greg, I like how all the grasses are bending in the direction of the big cat's gaze. Nice shot.

What a stunning creature. Those yellow eyes are gorgeous and I love the eyelashes! My gosh, what a beautiful animal this is. Nice composition here and I also love the grass. Superb shot, Greg.

On the technical side, the depth you have shown is simply perfect and I get a feel of a "frame within a frame" because of the depth. (did that make sense? :) )

Love this one Greg!!!
