Thanks for posting here consistently. I have really enjoyed the variety of images you have made of deer. I have the most fun really working a subject, spending a great deal of time trying different things, angles, light etc and that seems to be what you are doing with the deer.

I like the sky on this image and the light is very nice on the green area. I noticed the very young animal is walking up a fairly large hill. Some room for interpretation there.

It looks from the shadows that it is late in the day or early in the morning and the light is coming from the left. I kind of wish the subject was better lit and not so much in shadow. I think it would be a little stronger if the subject had turned cross ways a little so to grab the light, but having said that his head would probably be away and that would not help either.

I think you did the best you could. I am personally working on trying to including more environment in my photography this year, and it seems more difficult to do well then just getting tight up close shots.... Enough rambling.

Thanks again for posting in FFM.

Robert, The image fits well your small deer, big world title. The colors in the sky and grass are wonderful but I wish the lighting on the deer was better so there would be some more detail.

This is excellent!!! I like the size of the subject in the image and the overall composition. Since it is much more of an environmental shot, personally I don't mind the light angle at all.

This is nice. I think the sky really adds to the feeling of the image. I think it works becasue the darker more ominous sky is on the uphill side of the image. Way to go!
